Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka is officially headed for the 15-Day Disabled List after under-going an MRI early this week. Matsuzaka hasn’t been himself for weeks, and currently has a 3-3 record with a 5.30 ERA and 1.47 WHIP.

There’s no guarantee that his sprained right elbow heals up within the next two weeks, so start looking for some solid temporary replacements, and maybe even think in the long-term.

Matsuzaka is a solid starting pitcher when healthy, but considering his current production, you can probably find a viable option hanging around in your fantasy league’s waiver wire.
