Breaking News MLB — 09 June 2011
The Oakland Athletics have reportedly fired their team manager after a rough start to the 2011 MLB season, and have decided to move into another direction.
The A’s are slumping big time, and responded to yesterday’s ninth straight loss by firing manager, Bob Geren, and hiring Bob Melvbin as the interim manager. Melvin is the former manager of the NL West Champion Arizona Diamondbacks, and he will take over one of the best young pitching staffs in the league.
It probably can’t get much worse for the A’s at this point, but you just never know.
