MLB Player News — 05 July 2011
According to ESPNNewYork.com, New York Mets star shortstop Jose Reyes will not rush back from his hamstring injury. Reyes reportedly will assess his injury again before today’s game, and will then make a decision.
Fantasy Analysis
Reyes has dealt with numerous lingering injuries in the past, and with hamstrings being especially tricky, he’s a safe bet to sit out a few games. Even if he doesn’t, it would probably be wise to keep him out of your lineup, in order to prevent the loss of points due to re-aggravating the injury.
We fully expect Reyes to play again before the ALL-Star break, but if you’re not in horrible shape without him for the next week, we suggest sitting him until he’s fully healthy.
