According to MLBlogs.com, Philadelphia Phillies Outfielder Shane Victorino will miss most of this week as he gets his right thumb examined by hand specialist Dr. Randall Culp in Philadelphia.
Victorino reportedly jammed his thumb while going after a fly ball during Sunday’s game and ended up missing Monday’s action.
Victorino is expected to rejoin the Phillies on Friday of this week, but depending on the severity of his thumb injury, may not immediately be inserted back into the starting lineup. Its not unrealistic for him to sit out through the All-Star break, but just keep an eye on his status if you intend on using him.
